Abstract The main aim of the article is to demonstrate effectiveness use ground penetrating radars assess various objects using example assessing current state highways. uses software developed by authors and corresponding mathematical models. analysis results obtained based on models that have proven their time-tested. It should be emphasised problem in roads with non-rigid pavement associated a change parameters layers – thickness dielectric constant. Previously, we proposed scheme for layer-by-layer determination values relative permittivity then - subsequent each layer, starting from top layer ending base. paper presents experiments actually carried out GPRs, which not only different central frequency, but also significant design differences. In addition, processing real data are presented. As result, an improved method signal calibration has been proposed, makes it possible increase reliability road surfaces, as well other objects.
